FAQ: How do I import an existing plan?

Setting plan premiums

BerniePortal offers a wide range of premium settings from age bands, tobacco increases, and guaranteed issue. Explore the vast capabilities of premium settings based on what type of benefit you are building out.

Editing an existing plan

If you need to make a change to an existing benefit, just select the plan from your Plans list in the benefits feature. Changes can be made to the plan’s basic information and it's premiums.

BernieTip: Imported plans will have limited edit capacity.

Delete a plan from your library

From the plans library, delete a plan by hovering over the actions wheel next to the corresponding plan and select “Delete.”

If this plan is already deleted from your broker’s library, you will be notified in your library that the plan was deleted.

Employees will remain enrolled in the plan unless granted a period of Open Enrollment.

BernieTip: A plan cannot be deleted if employees are still enrolled in it.
